Further movements of the NFU Lever will produce corresponding rudder movements and prolonged NFU deflection will move the rudder hard over.
Typically, the NFU electrical connections are routed as directly as possible to the rudder system via the Steering Amplifier (bypassing the Steering Controller).
Where more than one NFU Lever Unit is required, these can be installed on a modified software basis which uses the “Auxiliary” input(s) of the Steering Controller via the Steering Mode (“AUX”) Selector Switch.
The NT1001 NFU can be included in the standard Navitron Steering Console or desk control panel and/or remotely in wheelhouse/protected bridge wing locations. |
