NT700 Main Steering System Configuration
|
Commensurate with the need for tested and Approved standards of Main Steering Systems for smaller / non convention vessels, the Navitron NT700 Steering System range is specifically designed for vessels up to 500GT and is Type Approved by Germanischer Lloyd accordingly.NT700 steering combinations are available in various forms to offer cost effective solutions which can be user specified to provide facilities ranging from Follow Up or Non Follow Up (NFU) power steering controls only to fully comprehensive configurations involving Wheel Follow Up (WFU) with Steering Mode and Steering System Selector Switches etc.Available in 3 system types in order that 3 different types of Navitron Autopilot can be included (if required / as preferred) a range of standard signal outputs result. These signal outputs are derived from the Distribution Box / Steering Amplifier / Dual Steering Interface (as applicable) and include bang/bang solenoid (11-40Vdc/5A) in addition to +/-10Vdc and 4-20mA levels for the control of proprietary analogue steering machines and proportional valves etc. |
Coupled with the availability of three basic system types, simple but fully comprehensive installation set up facilities allow fine tuning adjustment to produce optimum operational performance for virtually all steering gears. All NT700 Steering Systems are suitable for direct connection to nominal 24Vdc power supplies and can be desk / console mounted as stand alone items or grouped together as complete control panels which can be customised if required. The simple “add on” Autopilot facility offered via connection of a Navitron Autopilot Control Unit and related Heading Data to the Distribution Box / Steering Amplifier (as appropriate) provides both manual and fully automatic steering via simple operator Mode switch selection. In the NT700 configuration shown opposite, the Wheel Follow Up Unit (WFU) is used in conjunction with Navitron Autopilot model NT888G and Analogue Heading Repeater type NT880 AHR.More comprehensive configurations provide various Lever Follow Up, NFU, Override and Mode switch / Steering selector options which are compatible with Navitron Autopilot types NT777, NT921 MK2, NT921G, NT951G, NT991G MK2, NT888G and NT999G. |
